چکیده
In this work, we derive closed-form expression for the Gallager’s random coding error exponent for a MIMO multiple-scattering channel. The number of scattering stages is arbitrary but finite, white noise is present at the destination.

[Article] Information-theoretic Characterization of MIMO Systems with Multiple Rayleigh Scattering
We present an information-theoretic analysis of a point-to-point Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) link affected by Rayleigh fading and multiple scattering, under perfect channel state information at the receiver. Unlike previous work addressing this setting, we investigate the Random Coding Error Exponent, its associated cutoff rate and the Expurgated Error Exponent, and derive closed-form...

In this paper, we derive Gallager’s random coding error exponent for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) Rayleigh block-fading channels, assuming no channel-state information (CSI) at the transmitter and perfect CSI at the receiver. This measure gives insight into a fundamental tradeoff between the communication reliability and information rate of MIMO channels, enabling to determine the requ...
متن کاملGallager's error exponent analysis of STBC systems over η-μ fading channels
The Gallager’s random coding error exponent for space-time block codes (STBC) over multiple-input multipleoutput (MIMO) block-fading channels, with Gaussian input distribution, is investigated. Gallager’s error exponent can be used to determine the required codeword length to achieve a prescribed error probability at a given rate below the channel capacity. We first provide new, analytical expr...
متن کاملError Exponent Region for Gaussian Multiple Access Channels and Gaussian Broadcast Channels
Error exponents for single-user additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels provide bounds on the rate of exponential decay of the average probability of error as a function of the block length of the random codebooks. In this paper, we only consider Gallager-type lower bounds of error exponents [1, 2]. For simplicity, we use the term “error exponent” to mean the maximum of random coding expo...
